ASUM LEAGUE OF DARTS (LEAGUE RULES)

1 - Game Rules

  • 1.1 - All League Matches consist of 10 Games (3 Pairs, 6 Singles & 1 Triples)

    • 1.11 - All Team K.O. Matches consist of 9 Games (3 Pairs & 6 Singles) | All 9 Games must be played (if the score margin is 5 games or more, both team captains have to agree to declare a result)

    • 1.12 - All Seven Single Cup Matches consist of 7 Games (7 Singles)

    • 1.13 - All Tri-League Matches consist of 9 Games (3 Pairs & 6 Singles) | First Team drawn is at Home

    • 1.14 - All Cup Matches are played on a folded sheet

    • 1.15 - Seven Singles & Team K.O. Cup Matches are held at neutral venues & the venues are decided by the Committee

  • 1.2 - Doubles is 701 & Best of 1 Leg | Singles is 501 & Best of 3 Legs | Triples is 901 (Double-In Start) & Best of 1 Leg

  • 1.3 - Bust rule is in effect at all times

  • 1.4 - Each game starts with the away team throwing first in the bull-off to decide who starts the specified game first. (Coin toss for a match held in a neutral venue)

    • 1.41 - If a game is tied at 1-1 then a bull-off will take place, again with the away team throwing first (Coin toss if required as described in 1.4)

  • 1.5 - All players in each team are limited to play a maximum of 3 Games (1 Singles, 1 Pairs & 1 Triples)

    • 1.51 - If a team does not have enough players to fill in a Singles &/or Pairs Game, the specified game(s) need to be marked with a slash on the row in the match sheet & the opponent gets awarded the game.

2 - League Rules

  • 2.1 - In League format, each team is awarded the following: Win = 3 Points, Draw = 1 Point, Loss = 0 Points

    • 2.11 - If 2 or more teams are level by the end of the League Season, the following tiebreakers will determine each of the teams' rankings:

    • 2.12 - Leg Difference

    • 2.13 - Head-to-Head record between the teams in question (if it's between 3 or more teams then a mini table will be crated between the teams involved)

    • 2.14 - Neutral venue play-off

  • 2.2 - All Match Sheets supplied to every team must have a photo taken of the full result. Photos of each match sheet must be applied to the 'ASUM League of Darts' Facebook Page either on the night or by Sunday

  • 2.3 - All matches are heavily advised to start around 8:30pm

  • 2.4 - All venues should require boards, oches, lighting apply to standard rules & be suitable for play

  • 2.5 - Entry fee for all teams is £30 + a £20 Bond which can cover any fine(s) not initially paid. The Bond will be returned at the end of the season pending reductions, or carried over to next season

  • 2.6 - All Matches in the League Season have to be fulfilled. Any cancelled matches will result in a 10-0 scoreline against the team that was deemed to have caused the cancellation of the match.

    • 2.61 - Teams are advised to let their opponents know if a fixture cannot take place at least 24 hours beforehand via the 'ASUM League of Darts' Facebook Page & the Captain(s) or venue must be notified. Failure to do so will result in a £10 fine

    • 2.62 - If any team(s) have a minimum of 3 of their matches cancelled, their 'priority entry' key for next season will be revoked

  • 2.7 - Any individual(s) or team(s) involved with unsportsmanlike, verbal abuse &/or violent conduct could be warned, suspended or banned from participating in the league

    • 2.71 - Issues &/or complaints regarding the League must be brought forward to members of the League Committee. It is not advised to post issues on the Facebook page

  • 2.8 - All teams are required to have at least one representative at the AGM. Any team(s) that fail to attend possibly face exclusion from next season if there are reserve teams waiting to join the league

    • 2.81 - All teams are required to have at least one representative at the annual Presentation Night. Any team(s) that fail to do so will result in automatically losing their £20 bond

3 - Team Rules

  • 3.1 - There's a maximum of 12 Players per team, each requiring a nominated captain

  • 3.2 - The deadline for signing players into teams is during the 8th Matchweek of the League Season

  • 3.21 - A player may be able to sign on after the deadline, only under special dispensation if required due to an emergency or similar reasons. £10 Transfer Fee is required if this occurs & the Committee must be notified

  • 3.3 - All teams are responsible for returning the cups by the end of the regular season

    • 3.31 - Any team(s) that have failed to return their cups will receive a £10 fine
