Mid Season Review (31/12/24)
Firstly we hope you had a nice festive break & wish all of the Asum League of darts family a pleasant 2025.We are now at the half way stage of the season and the three respective leagues are taking shape. We start in the Asparagus league where Cidermill have made a very strong start to their campaign winning six of their first eight fixtures to the season to take top spot at this stage and are also in both the semi final of the KO cup & Consolation cup, Bret Boyz are right on their shoulders in second place just a point behind if they slip up. Talbot Pershore are in third place after a good recent run turning around a slow start to their season.
Meanwhile in the Bell Tower league it's a Swan song with Swan carrying on their form that saw them dominate the Crown league last season and look certain favorites to make it two promotions on the bounce as nearest rivals Gate Inn are 9 points behind at this stage and are on for a possible treble with two cup semi finals ahead of them. The Gate Inn will be hoping to hold onto second spot although the is stiff competition battling behind them in a mid table scrap.
Now down to the Crown league where the Cygnets are Swanning it at the top & have been very consistent only losing one league match in a very competitive league this season. However a much improved Valkyrie Villians side and Lenches club both also have only lost one this season & are just three points behind so much to play for in the second half of the campaign. Just a reminder that the will be details coming up regarding the Tri Shield any teams that don't want to be entered please let myself or your committee representative know but until then good darts!

Season so far 24/12/23
We are now at the Christmas break and over half way through the season so the leagues are settling down to some indication to who will be competing for silver ware at the end of the season. Firstly we look at the Asparagus league where Bengeworth are leading but only by leg difference from Bret Boyz who have quietly climbed the table after a steady start. Early pace setters Talbot Pershore have tailed off recently and are third with Cidermill on the same points. The league is quite close & competitive with all teams being defeated at least twice or more. The Ko cup semi finals are see Cidermill drawn against Ferrymen while a tasty encounter between the two top of the table teams Bret Boyz & Bengeworth should be a cracker.
Meanwhile the Bell Tower League have clear leaders with unbeaten One Hundred & Amby looking clear favourite's to take the title with a 10 point lead already while Ruby Boomers head the pack of six teams which could all have a chance of runners up spot if results go their ways. One hundred & Amby are looking for a double this season as they are in the semi final of the KO cup but have agricky match against Ruby Jacks to get past first, the other semi final will see Bengeworth Nomads take on Gate Inn.
Crown league have the unbeaten Swan at the top with a healthy six point lead the is a tight battle behind between three teams including Sons of the Valkyrie, Vinyard & Bengeworth Rangers. The KO cup has gone to form with the top four league teams all in the semi finals creating two mouth watering matches with Top of the table Swan playing Sons of Valkyrie & Bengeworth Rangers taking on Vineyard.
Other competition news starting with the Seven singles where the last 8 include seven Asparagus teams and just Ruby Jacks making it through from the other leagues. Tie of the round must be Bret Boyz against Talbot Pershore while Ruby Jacks award for progressing is a tough match against Bengeworth.
The Tri Shield is a new competition to the league this season unlike the Sevens has more of a mix of depths from the leagues progress. with only four Asparagus teams progressing although they have all avoided each other in the draw. Coach & Horses have ben drawn away to Bret Boyz while Ruby Jacks have got Bengeworth. Ruby Boomers are host to Cidermill while Gate Inn host Talbot Pershore.
